Teacher's Talking to Teachers

As part of my course release for departmental work this fall, I helped develop our department's professional development workshops called "Teacher Talks." We've gone through a few iterations of the talks including general meetings, directed meetings, or crowdsourced meetings, but our departmental administrative assistant (and my good friend) and I came up with the format to have even more directed and specific talks where our colleagues sign up to discuss a specific topic and their take on it, and then we all talk about that topic together. Today was the first of the new talks, and I went first to discuss alternative assessments that I have used in the past from 100 to 400 level classes at different universities.
